New Leaves

Yesterday I noticed my Red Buckeye (Aesculus pavia) tree beginning to open new leaves. This tree is always the first plant to leaf out. Its an indication that spring is almost here.

This is a picture of a perennial saliva, Victoria Blue Salvia. New leaves are sprouting from the base and in a few months it will be blooming!

  1. We are still snow covered in Missouri-I can't wait to see the first signs of spring!

  2. I've noticed several of my plants with leaves showing or swollen buds. Can't wait for consistently warmer weather.
